The Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (EBBF), in partnership with Samsung Gulf Electronics, Rejuven8 Wellness Club, Fulfil and Optimum Nutrition successfully launched the first Galaxy Run Club community run at Dubai Marina Promenade.
It was hosted by Sean Clancy, Founder of Rejuven8 Wellness Club.
The initiative reflects EBBF’s commitment to promoting health, fitness, wellbeing and community participation across the UAE by creating accessible opportunities for people of all ages and fitness levels to take part in regular physical activity.
Held at 6:30am, the opening event welcomed 55 participants, including families, fitness enthusiasts, first-time runners, experienced athletes and young runners aged 10 and above. The free community run was designed to create an inclusive environment where every participant could enjoy the experience at their own pace.
To support different abilities, runners were divided into three route groups: 3 km, 5 km and 7 km. This structure allowed beginners, intermediate runners and more experienced participants to take part comfortably while sharing the same positive community atmosphere.
The launch was attended by members of the EBBF Board and senior representatives from Samsung, reflecting a shared commitment to building a long-term community platform that encourages active lifestyles, social connection and wider participation in fitness across the UAE.
Participants began the morning with a guided warm-up and coaching support before setting off along Dubai Marina Promenade. The event also featured wellness, nutrition, recovery and technology-led experiences delivered through the support of the Samsung Gulf Electronics.
Samsung supported the experience through its connected fitness ecosystem, including Samsung Health and Galaxy Watch8, helping participants explore how technology can support running, daily activity tracking, performance awareness and healthier lifestyle habits. Rejuven8 Wellness Club supported the wellness and recovery element of the event, while Fulfil and Optimum Nutrition contributed with nutrition and recovery support for participants.
Omar Saheb, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung Electronics Mena, said: “Samsung is proud to support Galaxy Run Club as a partner in an initiative that brings together community, wellbeing and technology. Through Samsung Health and Galaxy Watch8, we aim to help people better understand their activity, track their progress and stay motivated on their wellness journey. We are pleased to support EBBF in building a community platform that encourages more people across the UAE to embrace active lifestyles.”
Galaxy Run Club has been created to make running more accessible, social and enjoyable for people across the UAE. There is no membership requirement and no participation fee. The club will continue to meet every Saturday at 6:30 a.m. at Dubai Marina Promenade, Rejuven8 Wellness Club, with additional UAE locations planned in the coming months.
