The sixth day of the Gold Cup tournament delivered yet another thrilling showcase of high-octane polo at Al Habtoor Polo Club and Resort.
Habtoor Polo went head-to-head with UAE Polo in a fiercely contested encounter, with both teams applying pressure from the opening chukker and trading goals early on.
UAE Polo sustained their momentum throughout the match, continuing to find the posts and gradually taking control as the game progressed. Habtoor Polo fought back with determination, narrowing the gap to just two goals in the fourth chukker. Although UAE Polo responded with two more goals, Habtoor Polo stayed close behind, keeping the contest alive.
Maintaining their pace and composure, UAE Polo secured a two-goal victory in the fifth chukker, earning their place alongside Dubai Wolves in the semi-finals.
The second match of the day delivered edge-of-your-seat action as Bangash Polo went head-to-head with Jehangiri Polo in a tightly contested battle, with both teams locking down their defences from the first throw-in. Jehangiri Polo struck first, setting the early tone of the match.
Bangash Polo endured a slow start, allowing Jehangiri to hold onto their advantage through the opening three chukkers. However, momentum shifted dramatically in the fourth chukker as Bangash mounted a powerful comeback, leveling the score and igniting the contest.
By the fifth chukker, the match exploded into a flurry of goals. Jehangiri Polo stayed within striking distance until the final whistle, but Bangash Polo held their nerve to edge ahead and clinch a thrilling one-goal victory.
