Preparations have begun to host the World Karate Youth League, which will take place from February 12 to 15 at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah.
The Supreme Organizing Committee of the tournament, chaired by Major General Nasser Abdulrazzaq Al Razouqi, President of the UAE and Asian Karate Federations and Vice President of the World Karate Federation, announced that maximum readiness measures have been implemented to ensure the championship is held at the highest organizational and technical standards.
This aligns with the prestigious global reputation of this international event, hosted by the UAE.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Badi, Assistant Secretary-General of the UAE Karate Federation and General Coordinator of the championship, confirmed that the upcoming Fujairah edition is expected to break several records, whether in terms of participation, audience attendance, or the technical level of competition.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Badi said: “We anticipate participation of more than 3,000 individuals from around the world in one of the largest and most competitive editions of the World Karate Youth League. Approximately 450 staff members will be involved in organizing the event, in addition to 250 male and female volunteers, reflecting the spirit of teamwork we are accustomed to in organizing major sporting events.”
He also pointed out that the championship serves as a key stop on the calendar of the World Karate Federation, aiming to develop the skills of young athletes and prepare them for continental and global competitions, in addition to its important role in global age-group rankings.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Badi concluded by emphasizing that the World Karate Youth League in Fujairah represents one of the most prominent karate events of the year, providing a high-level competitive platform while enhancing the UAE’s position as a global hub for hosting international sporting events.
The tournament will also enjoy wide local and international media coverage, with significant participation from national teams, clubs, and coaches from across the world.
