The UAE national trap shooting team claimed the bronze medal at the Asian Championship, currently under way at the Lusail Shooting Complex in Doha.
The UAE finished third in the team event with a total of 351 targets, one behind hosts Qatar, who took silver with 352, while Kuwait secured gold with 354.
The UAE team comprised Sheikh Mohammed Bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, who hit 115 targets; Waleed Al Aryani with 116; and Yahya Suhail Al Mehairi with 120.
Major General Mohammed Suhail Al Neyadi, President of the UAE Shooting Federation, congratulated the national trap shooting team at the conclusion of their participation in the Doha championship.
He praised the achievement, noting that he had been following the competition closely and expressed confidence in the abilities of our shooters and their commitment to positive competition in regional and international tournaments.
Sheikh Juma Bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, President of Fazza Shooting Team, praised the performance of the team and the individual excellence of the shooters, congratulating the UAE Shooting Federation on this achievement. He affirmed that this accomplishment is just the beginning, the first of many, and a result of the joint efforts aimed at achieving further successes that reflect the sporting and cultural development of the country.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, star of UAE national team, expressed his happiness with the team’s achievement at the Asian Championship in Doha, noting that this success is continuation of what was achieved at the Musanada Championship in Abu Dhabi.
He confirmed that he and his teammates will continue to meet expectations, closing the chapter on the Asian Championship and starting preparations from Saturday for the upcoming Grand Prix, to be held at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club from January 22 to 31, 2026.
