The Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club organized the Rajab Month Rapid Chess Championship at its headquarters in Al Ain.
Hisham Al Taher, Secretary-General of the Asian Chess Federation, and the club's Managing Director and CEO, graced the occasion.
He congratulated the participants on the New Year and awarded the winners, emphasizing the importance of benefiting from such tournaments for technical analysis of games and learning from mistakes, which contributes to the development of players' technical levels and honing their skills.
The championship featured 78 male and female players from 15 countries, competing over 7 rounds in a highly competitive atmosphere with impressive technical levels.
The results of the Rajab Month Rapid Chess Championship are as follows: Gaith Saeed Al Nuaimi, an Al Ain Club player and the UAE Youth Champion for 2025, took first place, while Ayham Said secured second and Ahmed Mohamed Said finished third.
Special awards were presented to Sheikha Abdullah Al Mirakhi as the Best Emirati Female Player and Ahmed Younis Al Khamiri as the Best Emirati Male Player.
In the age categories, Mariam Al-Kindi (Female) and Zayed Al-Ali (Male) won in the Under 14 group, Fatima Nasser Al-Shamsi (Female) and Hamdan Al-Ali (Male) in the Under 12 group, Al-Anoud Al-Nuaimi (Female) and Saad Al-Nuaimi (Male) in the Under 10 group, and Salama Al-Badawi (Female) and Mohamed Musbah Al-Kaabi (Male) in the Under 8 group.
The Academy Awards recognized Ayan Haseeb as the Best Academy Player and Asmaa Makhmalji as the Best Academy Female Player.
This championship marks the first event of the new season in the Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club's annual activity agenda, which continues to organize high-quality events, reaffirming its role as a community sports institution that contributes to spreading the culture of chess and mind games while fostering the development of champions.
