The UAE national teams will participate in the FAI World Drone Soccer Championships,
taking place in Shanghai, China, from November 15 to 18.
The championships will feature 23 teams from 17 countries, showcasing the world’s top young drone pilots in this fast-growing and exciting sport.
The UAE will be represented by two teams under the F9A-B subclass, each comprising five players, bringing a total of 10 athletes to the championship.
The team include Abdullah Fahad Al Mahmoud, Abdulla Faraj Alqemzi, Abdulaziz Ali Alhammadi, Ahmed Amawi, Ahmed Mahmoud Yaghi, Egor Melnik, Eryk Gebsi, Hamdan Khalfan Almqeemi, and Nahyan Alayan Alremeithi. Team manager and coach, Bibin Boby, from Kitspire Education & Training LLC, will lead the team to Shanghai on November 13 and return on November 19.
Drone soccer is a unique combination of traditional soccer and drone technology, where teams navigate drones through hoops to score points, blending precision, strategy, and STEM innovation.
The UAE teams have undergone intensive training with Kitspire Education & Training LLC and are proudly supported by LODD Autonomous, the official sponsor of the UAE national team.
The championship will open with a ceremony on November 15, followed by several days of competitive matches, and conclude with the closing ceremony on November 18.
The UAE teams will compete for medals, gain valuable international experience, and inspire the next generation of STEM innovators.
