Dubai: The second edition of the UAE Sports Medicine Conference, organised by the Emirates Society of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, officially opens on Saturday.
It will begin at 9:30am at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) in Dubai Healthcare City.
The two-day conference brings together over 600 participants and features 53 speakers, in addition to a wide range of workshops, scientific papers, and an accompanying exhibition.
Dr. Abdulla Alrahoomi, President of the Emirates Society of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and Chairman of the Conference Organising Committee, expressed his pride in the continued collaboration with MBRU, stating:
“We are delighted to once again partner with Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences to host the second edition of the conference, following the great success of the inaugural event. Participants praised the quality and diversity of the lectures and workshops, as well as the outstanding venue that hosted the event. We are also pleased with the remarkable increase in participation this year — in the number of speakers, workshops, exhibitors, and research papers being presented and discussed throughout the two-day programme.”
Dr. Alrahoomi added: “In just two years, the conference has established itself as a major scientific and medical event in the fields of sports medicine and rehabilitation. This rapid growth places on us a greater responsibility to continuously enhance the conference, improve organization standards, and ensure that it reflects the UAE’s global leadership and excellence across all sectors, as well as the capabilities of its national professionals and institutions.”
