The Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club, in cooperation with the Sudanese Social Club, organised a special two-day community event in the Al Ain.
The event witnessed strong attendance from members of the Sudanese community as well as the participation of chess enthusiasts of all ages.
The first day of the event, held at the Sudanese Club headquarters, featured a comprehensive introductory lecture on the game of chess presented by experts from Al Ain Chess Club. The lecture covered several key topics: Rules of the game and mental benefits – presented by Zainab Darwish Al Maamari, the club’s technical coordinator, who highlighted the club’s role in nurturing and developing talent.
Technical and strategic aspects – explained by Mark Yasser through analytical examples and educational applications.
Arbitration rules and tournament regulations – detailed by international arbiter Ahmed Al Nuaimi, who clarified the foundations of arbitration and internationally recognized systems.
The second day featured the organization of an open community chess tournament, with wide participation from the Sudanese community. The event was marked by a competitive spirit and professional organization. Player Mohammed Amer secured first place after a series of strong games, earning praise for both his performance and the overall level of play.
This initiative is part of Al Ain Chess Club’s ongoing efforts to promote chess culture and strengthen its community presence. It aims to support the development of cognitive and educational skills among youth, while establishing chess as an educational and intellectual tool within the local cultural fabric.
