Faisal Al Ghais Al Zaabi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (EBBF) and Chairman of the Bodybuilding Judges Committee, described the championships hosted and organized by the Emirate of Fujairah over the past 25 years as having significantly contributed to the development of bodybuilding judges both locally and internationally.
This is due to the great opportunities provided to promising judges to participate in competitions and improve their performance, with many of them remaining international judges since 2001.
Zaabi confirmed that the directives of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, have helped develop the judging side to become a key focus of the federation’s efforts.
He praised the prominent role of the Engineer Mohammed Bin Majid, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation Mr and Ms World Championship, and his team for providing all the requirements for success and supporting the development of Emirati talents, both judges and athletes.
Zaabi himself is one of the international judges who graduated through participating as a judge in Fujairah championships.
The IFBB Mr and Ms World Championship will take place at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah from September 5–7, with the participation of more than 900 competitors including elite athletes around the world and from the UAE.
Zaabi described the current hosting of the two championships as a new opportunity for UAE and international bodybuilding judges to gain more experience and competitive opportunities in judging.
He noted that 13 judges from the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation will take part in this edition of the IFBB Mr and Ms World Championship, out of a total of about 35 judges, under the leadership of Jose Maria.
EBBF judges are: Faisal Al Ghais Al Zaabi, Mohamed Shaheen Al Hosani, Abdul Majid Yazbek, Wissam Marouf, Abdullah Jamal Al Balushi, Khaled Al Hosani, Suleiman Al Zaabi, Hossam Salloum, Tarek Khalil, Mohamed Kmeidesh, Yahya Al Sari, in addition to Khadija Salem and Dorothee Tannious.
He wished the championship continued excellence and hoped that the audience would enjoy following the competitions.
