The Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club successfully concluded the Community Council Chess Tournament at Al Jufair Council, organized in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Councils under the Office of Citizens and Community Affairs at the Presidential Court.
The initiative aims to unify efforts to strengthen community partnerships and promote chess culture across all segments of society.
The closing ceremony was attended by Hisham Al Taher, Managing Director and CEO of the Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club, during which 52 winners from the participating councils were honored: Al Murayfi’ah Council, Al Markhaniyah Council, Al Tuwaiyah Council, and Al Jufair Council. The festive atmosphere reflected the success and excellence of the event.
The tournament was part of a series of community initiatives launched by the club.
The event was organized by Fakhra Al Shamsi, Events Director, and hosted by Mozah Al Amri, with active participation from women, highlighting the prominent role of women in sports and community activities.
The championship was held under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa bin Shakhbout Al Nahyan, President of the Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club, emphasizing the club’s commitment to expanding chess participation and strengthening its presence in community councils.
