The Kazan International Equestrian Complex in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, will on Saturday host the tenth round of the 32nd edition of the UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses.
This distinguished series stands as a shining testament to the UAE’s unwavering commitment to the Arabian horse and all who are connected to it. By providing sustained support to owners, breeders, and professionals across the world, the series reinforces the UAE’s vision of nurturing the Arabian horse as both a cultural treasure and a sporting icon.
At the same time, it plays a pivotal role in advancing the global development of Arabian horse racing, strengthening its structures, broadening its reach, and ensuring its continued progress on the international stage.
Just as importantly, the series carries the responsibility of safeguarding the legacy of the Arabian horse, preserving its noble heritage for future generations while presenting it in a modern, prestigious, and globally relevant form.
The Kazan race will see 16 elite Arabian horses compete in a Group 1 contest over 1,800 meters, with prize money of $100,000.
Among the strong contenders is Saher, winner of the 2023 and 2021 editions (by Nizam x Jezabelle by Dormane), owned by Edward Mardukhovich.
Others in the field include Tawfiq (General x Rolly Polly by Valina Des Fabries), Voskhod Tersk, Medni Maximus, Gargamel, Snow Storm Tersk, Bovola, Stark, Podarok Tersk, Gavot, Undertaker, Savab, Nimbus Tersk, Windhoek, Makhram, and Devonshire Tersk.
Speaking ahead of the event, Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, said:

The action now moves to Belgium on September 2, where a purse of €200,000 will be on offer. From there, the competition continues in Turkey on September 7, featuring prize money of $250,000. The series then shifts to England on September 13, with one of the biggest purses of the month at £400,000.
Later in September, attention turns to Poland on September 28, where another €200,000 will be contested.
The spotlight then moves to North Africa, beginning with Egypt on October 25, offering Dhs500,000, followed just one day later by Libya on October 26, with an impressive Dhs1 million purse.
The season’s momentum builds toward its climax in the Gulf region, with the final scheduled stop in Saudi Arabia on November 21, featuring the series’ richest prize of Dhs1.5 million.
