FMAC awarded overall excellence shield from UAE Triathlon Federation

In a remarkable achievement that reflects both institutional excellence and athletic distinction, Fujairah Martial Arts Club has been crowned with the overall excellence shield in Triathlon for the 2024–2025 season.

The recognition was awarded during an official visit by a delegation from the UAE Triathlon Federation to the club’s headquarters.

The delegation was headed by Abdul Malik Al Jani, President of the UAE Triathlon Federation, who presented the overall excellence shield to Nader Abu Shawish, Director of Fujairah Martial Arts Club, in the presence of Mohsin Hassan Mohammed Al Ali, Triathlon Team Manager at the club, along with several team members and administrators.

Jani said: "Fujairah Martial Arts Club has proven to be a model of sporting commitment and administrative organization. They truly deserved the overall excellence shield after a season filled with dedication and achievement.

“On this occasion, I extend my highest gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, for his continuous and unwavering support of sports and athletes in the emirate.

“I also thank the club’s leadership, especially Nader Abu Shawish, for their tremendous efforts that led to this outstanding accomplishment."

Shawish, the club’s director, expressed his pride in the achievement, stating: "Receiving the overall excellence shield is a major milestone and a strong motivation for continued work and dedication. We dedicate this achievement to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, and we reaffirm our commitment to supporting the sport of triathlon as part of the club’s strategy to develop future champions at the highest level."

For his part,  the triathlon team manager at the club, commented: "This title is the result of a collective effort by the management, coaches, and players. We are proud of what has been accomplished, and we promise that the best is yet to come, God willing, both locally and in international competitions."

The overall excellence shield is considered one of the highest honors awarded by the UAE Triathlon Federation, presented to the club that achieves the best cumulative results across all categories and competitions throughout the season.

With this award, Fujairah Martial Arts Club continues to solidify its position as one of the UAE’s leading institutions in the sport of triathlon and a shining example of institutional athletic excellence.
