Fujairah Martial Arts Club has claimed the general excellence shield in judo for the third season in a row, accumulating a total of 1,130 points—200 points ahead of the second-place team.
The club was crowned in the capital, Abu Dhabi, following its participation in the final championship of the season, the UAE Judo Cup, held on Saturday.
The shield was received by Nader Abu Al-Shawish from Mohammed Jassim Al-Sajwani, Assistant Secretary-General of the UAE Judo Federation.
Abu Al-Shawish expressed his happiness with the victory, saying: "We draw our determination and persistence to win from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Fujairah and President of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, who continuously follows the club's progress.
We thank him for his interest in sports in general and in the Fujairah Martial Arts Club in particular."
The UAE Judo Federation distinguished itself in the 2024–2025 season through precise organisation and performance, having held and supervised 16 tournaments during the season. The sporting year was marked by competitiveness and professionalism among the country’s top clubs, ultimately resulting in Fujairah Martial Arts Club winning the general excellence shield for the third consecutive year.
For his part, Dr. Mouh Al Mouh, Head Judo coach at the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, stated: "This achievement is the result of continuous and consistent efforts by the technical staff and the commitment of the team’s athletes. It aligns with the club’s vision of sustaining strong results and ongoing success."
