Majed maintains winning run as British, French boxers star in EMD Fight Night

The seventh edition of the EMD Fight Night professional boxing tournament, held at The Agenda in Dubai Media City on April 27, 2024, was an unforgettable event that captivated boxing enthusiasts.

The event witnessed an astonishing attendance of boxing fans, as well as prominent figures in the boxing world from Russia, Britain, France, and other countries.

World boxing champion Amir Khan also showed his personal interest by attending the event and addressing the audience, expressing his admiration for the impressive organization and the high level of intense matches featured in this edition of the EMD Fight Night, which saw many exciting competitions.

Professional boxers from various countries shone in this global bout, organized by Emirati boxer Eisa Al Dah with the support of the Dubai Sports Council.

In the light middleweight bout, Emirati boxer Majed Al Naqbi delivered a stunning technical knockout victory in the third round against his Algerian opponent Nadji Meziani. This triumph marked Al Naqbi's 10th championship title in his international professional career.

Egyptian boxer Ahmed Belushi won against Kenyan boxer Awai Corner in the middleweight bout. Cuban boxer Dainan Gonzalez shone with a knockout victory in the second round against Tanzania’s boxer Allen Jibengo. In a strong and exciting bout with unexpected results,

Nigeria’s Emmanuel defeated Afghan boxer Karimi Mohammed. Indian boxer Mohammed Rashid won his bout against Ugandan opponent Fahad Mivali by a technical knockout in the first round in the featherweight bout, while Algerian boxer Mohammed Mekhennan won against Russian boxer Arapzon.

Iranian Nastaran Fathi won by unanimous decision against her Tanzanian opponent Halima Vunjabei.

British boxers also made their mark, with Alan Graves securing a knockout victory over boxer Pavel Tishchy in a middleweight bout. Tony Curtis followed suit, defeating Afghan boxer Mustafa.

French boxers delivered their fair share of knockouts as well. Timothy Kably defeated Burmese boxer Thin Htut in a lightweight bout, while Mehdi Bellarbi emerged victorious over Ugandan boxer Yusuf Kamoga.

Tosin Gbenjo concluded the evening with a knockout victory over Cameroonian boxer Nkouevfondy in a light heavyweight bout.

Uganda’s Bob Triatimbwa defeated Pakistan’s Ayub Khan in a welterweight bout, while Tamba Merlin from Cameroon defeated Uganda’s Akram Molinda by knockout. Austria’s Fabian secured a knockout victory over Russia’s Mohammedsudik. Another Austrian boxer, Montano defeated the Syrian boxer Muhammad Dahi.

The EMD Fight Night professional boxing series takes place monthly at The Agenda in Dubai. The next installment of this exciting event is scheduled for June and is highly anticipated by boxing fans worldwide.
