Sharjah Women's Sports Club team secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Al Wasl in a thrilling encounter of UAE Women's Volleyball League.

The Sharjah team dominated the match from start to finish, showcasing their superior skills and unwavering determination. The scores of each set were 25/23, 25/18, and 25/23, reflecting the close competition between the two teams.

With this victory, Sharjah Women's Sports Club’s volleyball team moved a step closer to clinching the league title this season.

They have two crucial matches remaining against American University of Sharjah and Epic Academy in the coming weeks. Winning both these matches will guarantee their triumph in the 2023/2024 season.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Noman, Sports Advisor to the Sharjah Women's Sports, congratulated the players and the coaching staff.

He conveyed the congratulations of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Women's Sports, on the significant achievement.

He praised the team's exceptional performance, passion, and desire to win, urging them to continue their efforts and not to relent in the upcoming period to secure victories in the last two matches of the league, aiming to clinch this year's championship title.

Coach Karim Ben Ayed expressed his delight with the team's convincing victory over Al Wasl, acknowledging it as a significant step towards clinching the title this year, especially against the defending champions, who are considered one of the strongest teams in the league.

Ben Ayed emphasized the importance of maintaining concentration and commitment during the training sessions leading up to the next two matches.

He highlighted that the title is still within reach, but the team must continue to work hard to achieve it. He considered the Al Wasl match as a crucial step, but two more important steps remain: against American University of Sharjah and Epic Academy.

The coach also credited the team's success to the unwavering support they received throughout the season, including extensive training and participation in local and international camps. He further acknowledged that the team's exceptional performance at the recently concluded Arab Clubs Games Championship in Sharjah, where they finished third, had instilled a sense of confidence and excellence among the players.
