Brazil reign supreme again! The Samba Boys secured their record-breaking sixth FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup title at UAE 2024, defeating Italy 6-4 in a thrilling final at the Dubai Design District.

Dominating the second half after a close 2-2 draw in the first, the world's number one team showcased their mastery on the sand.

Led by the dazzling Rodrigo, the 2023 best player in the world, Brazil shone with three goals from his foot. Teammates Bruno Xavier and Brendo added their names to the scoresheet, while an own goal from Italy's Genao sealed their fate.

This historic victory marks Brazil's unwavering dominance in beach soccer, solidifying their position as the most decorated team in the sport's history.

Iran bag bronze

Earlier, Iran's commendable display at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 in Dubai culminated in a resounding 6-1 victory over Belarus, securing them the bronze medal.

From the very outset, Ali Mirshekari capitalised on an overhead kick deflection and Movahed Mohammadpour added an acrobatic effort of his own to establish a quick 2-goal lead.

This bronze medal marks Iran's second consecutive third-place finish in major tournaments, following their success at Bahamas 2017. Belarus, meanwhile, can be proud of their best-ever performance at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

UAEFA President congratulates winners

In a statement following the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates Football Association (UAEFA), extended his congratulations to the Brazilian national team on their record-breaking sixth World Cup title.

Recognising the pivotal role of the Dubai Sports Council, Sheikh Hamdan highlighted their proven track record of organising successful beach soccer events, including the Continental Cup Championship and the World Cup Dubai 2009.

He also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of local institutions and their tireless efforts in ensuring every aspect of the tournament ran smoothly, providing exceptional support to all participating delegations. He emphasized how these efforts contribute to fostering positive international relations and showcasing the UAE's progress, social harmony, and diverse cultural fabric.
