Liverpool star and Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah appeared in a video on Wednesday, calling for “an end to the massacres” and “the immediate entry of humanitarian aid” into the Gaza Strip.

“It is not always easy to speak at the same time,” Salah said in English in a video he posted on his social media accounts.

He added, "We have witnessed extreme violence and heartbreaking brutality. The escalation in the past weeks is difficult to watch."

The Egyptian striker continued by saying, “All lives are sacred and their protection is a must.” The massacres must stop, as families are being torn apart.”

In the video, Salah called for “allowing humanitarian assistance to be provided to Gaza immediately.”

The people of Gaza are going through miserable conditions.

“The hospital scenes yesterday were horrific.”

He concluded by saying, “The people of Gaza need food, water and medicine immediately.

“I call on all world leaders to come together to prevent further massacres of innocents. Humanity must prevail.”
