Sheikh Sultan directs establishment of new Sharjah Club headquarters at Dhs350 million

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, ordered the establishment of a new headquarters for the Sharjah Cultural and Sports Club, with an initial budget of Dhs350 million on an area of 3 million square feet, double the area of the club’s current land.

It is located at the intersection between the Sharjah-Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid-Khorfakkan roads, and will include a main stadium, an administrative building, halls for group and individual games, and sports and all other facilities.

The Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club appreciates the generosity of the Ruler of Sharjah.
Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Sports Club, members of the Board of Directors and the Club’s employees, extended their highest appreciation and gratitude to Sheikh Sultan for his generosity in issuing directives to establish a new integrated headquarters.

Al Midfa stressed that this decision, which made the club’s members and fans happy and heartened, represents a qualitative shift in the club’s facilities for the better, and it is not surprising for the Ruler of Sharjah, who always supports sports and athletes in the emirate.

The directive also confirms to us His Highness’s keenness and insightful vision for the present and the future. On planning and development in all fields, which makes the Emirate of Sharjah always at the forefront.

Al Midfa stressed that all the members of the Sharjah Sports Club promise the Ruler of Sharjah to work diligently to continue the achievements of the club and its sports teams in all games locally and internationally to raise the name of the club and the state flag high, and this is the least that any athlete affiliated with the Sharjah Club can do as an expression of thanks to Sheikh Sultan.
