Sharjah Chess Club hands over administrative positions to new board members

The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Cultural and Chess Club handed over administrative positions to the new members following the formation of the Board.

The decision to this effect was taken during a meeting held at the Sharjah Chess and Cultural Club.

The new board is led by Dr. Sheikh Khaled Bin Humaid Al Qasimi.

Imran Abdullah Al Nuaimi has been named Deputy Chairman of the Board; Engineer Waheeb Jafar Al Zarooni gets the position of the General Secretary; and Ali Saeed Al Jallaf is assigned the role of Financial Director.

Omar Noman Al Ali is Assistant General Secretary, and Abdullah Murad Al Mazmi has been given responsibility for the strategic planning and media committees of the club.

The Sharjah Cultural and Chess Club stated that the President and Members of the Board of Directors expressed their gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous support of the club and its players.

They also expressed their thanks to Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and to Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for their valuable trust in the Board of Directors.

Dr. Sheikh Khaled thanked the wise leadership for their confidence in the Board of Directors and expressed his appreciation. He also wished everyone success in the ensuing phase by building on the accomplishments already made and aiming to win more individual and team championships at the local, regional, and international levels.

He also expressed gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Saud Bin Abdulaziz Al Mualla and Jamal Issa Al Midfaa for their work during their tenure at the club.

He stressed that the Board of Directors is keen to attract local talent in order to enhance and boost the Club's reputation on the Arab, Asian, and international stages.
