Paris Saint-Germain, the French football champion, is likely to lose another star this summer after Argentine Lionel Messi, as media reported that Brazilian Neymar “will likely leave,” for Saudi Arabia and negotiations are on the table.

The source said that the Brazilian, who came to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 from Barcelona in a record deal amounting to 222 million euros, “is no longer part of the plans of the new Spanish coach Luis Enrique and the club.”

The source stated that the 31-year-old Brazilian is currently negotiating with a Saudi club, “which then has to reach an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain,” confirming what was revealed by the sports newspaper “L’Equipe” that the Saudi Al-Hilal is offering the former Barcelona star 100 million euros annually.

PSG had previously separated this summer from Messi, who moved to Inter Miami, after his name was associated with a possible transfer to the Saudi League, which caused a “revolution” in the transfer market.

Stars Karim Benzema, Ngolo Kante and the Senegalese Sadio Mane, Algerian star Riyad Mahrez, and Brazilian Roberto Firmino moved to Saudi Arabia.

Neymar missed the opening of the local league on Saturday, as PSG tied at home with Lorient without goals at the start of the campaign to defend his title.

Neymar was ill, according to what the club claimed.

The news of the possibility of Neymar leaving the Parisian club coincides with the latter’s decision to return his other star, Kylian Mbappe to the first team, starting from Sunday’s exercises, after he was excluded due to the crisis of renewing his contract.
