Sheikh Abdullah crowns winners of Dibba Classic Sports Challenge

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, crowned the winners of the Dibba Classic Sports Challenge, an impressive international competition that attracted top athletes.

The event was attended by Ali Abdullah Bin Haider, Vice President, Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation; Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Marri, Secretary General of Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, retired Colonel Abdul Karim Mohamed Saeed, chairman of the IFBB Fitness and Sports Academy in Dubai and the Middle East; Salem Al Suraidi, the chairman of the organizing committee; Yaser Al Sayyid Suleiman Al Qattali, tournament director; Abdulla AbdulRahman Al Mutaiwee, chairman of the Technical Committee; and other dignitaries.

One of the most prestigious events in the region, the Dibba Classic Sports Challenge, took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from Friday to Sunday.

The Dibba Classic Sports Challenge was held in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council and the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation. The challenge witnessed the participation of 400 contestants, who took part in CrossFit, arm wrestling, Obstacle Course Racing, bikini fitness competition, and bodybuilding. It also saw a significant turnout of spectators and high technical levels, making the Dubai Challenge Championship one of the best tournaments organized in the country.

Iran’s Yezdi Torabi stole the show after claiming the title in the Classic Bodybuilding category, while his compatriot Said Moradi took top honours in the fitness category. Abbas Musa was crowned champion in the bodybuilding category.

Egypt’s Samah Abdel Malik won the gold medal in the 100 kg Masters category, Emirati Mohammed Ali earned the silver medal in the 80 kg category; and Mustafa Wathiq from Iraq clinched the gold medal in the Classic Bodybuilding Youth category.

In the 100 kg Bodybuilding category, Egyptian Hussein Jabir won the gold medal. Bangladesh’s Rongjit won the gold medal in the 65 kg category, with Emirati Abdullah Ibrahim securing the silver and Jordanian Imad Zaqzouq taking the gold in the 175 cm Body Style category. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hosani won the gold medal in the Youth category, and Syrian Maher Jamal claimed the gold in the master’s category. Bahrain’s Khaled Mohammed won the gold in the 178 cm category.

Sheikh Abdullah praised the high level of competition and the performances of the participants. He expressed his delight at the exceptional success of the Dibba Classic Sports Challenge.

"Despite being a relatively new event, the challenge has quickly gained prominence," he said. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized that the success of the challenge contributes to the development of the sport.

Al Mutaiwee, chairman of the technical committee, expressed his gratitude for the support of his highness Sheikh Abdulla Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates bodybuilding fitness federation. As well as he shared his gratitude to the Dubai sports council. He also expressed his plans of expanding the championship and congratulated the winners while wishing them success in the future competitions.
