Pakistan has agreed to play their high-octane match at the ODI World Cup on Oct.14, rather than previously decided date on Oct.15, according to the media reports on Wednesday.

Though the dates have not been amended in the fixtures released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), but sources close to the development have confirmed the tweaking in the fixtures.

Pakistan's preceding match with Sri Lanka is believed to be pre-poned by two days and will be played on Oct.10 rather than Oct.12 to give the visitors enough space between the two matches.

The need for the changes in the fixtures was prompted because of the fact that the Hindu festival of Navratri falling on the same date.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah too had confirmed that the 2023 ODI World Cup schedule will undergo a few changes with the revised version to be finalised in consultation with the ICC in a few days.

Meanwhile, the Bilawal Bhutto-led committee, appointed by Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, will meet on Thursday to decide on the country's participation in the ODI World Cup in India, starting from Oct.5.

The committee, led by Pakistan's Foreign Affairs Minister and the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, also includes Sports Minister Ahsan Mazari, Maryam Aurangzeb, Asad Mahmood, Amin-ul Haq, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and Tariq Fatmi, a former diplomat.

They are expected to ask the ICC and the hosts, BCCI, to permit a security delegation to visit the venues, where the Pakistan team will play, a Cricbuzz report stated.

"A high-profile meeting will decide on the World Cup participation," a top PCB official was quoted as saying.
