Hatta Ramadan Championship ends on successful note

Hatta Ramadan Championship, the biggest sports event of its kind in Hatta, concluded with the participation of huge numbers of athletes of different ages and nationalities.

The championship, which began on March 24, was organised by the Team Games Company in Hatta Sports Club with the support of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC).

Participants in the championship competed in three sports disciplines, including futsal, volleyball, and running.

The championship winners were honoured by Haji Hassan, the head of the organizing committee, Saif Al-Shaafar from Al-Shaafar Investment, Ahmed Al-Bidwawi from Hatta Kayak, Rashid Mohammed Abdulla from DSC, and Hatta Police Center’s representative.

Al-Nasr won first place in the futsal competition, while Al-Fursan finished as runners-up and Black Hook claimed third place.

Victor Manuel of the Al Nasr team was awarded the best player of the futsal competition, while Ibrahim Khalil Ramadan received the top scorer’s award. Abdulaziz Nadheer of Al-Nasr was honored as the best goalkeeper.

Al-Nasr Team was also awarded as the ideal team, and Black Hook’s fans were awarded as the best fans. In the volleyball competition, the Al-Salam team of Oman emerged winners.

Eight teams featuring players from the UAE, Oman, Algeria, and Cameron competed in the volleyball event. In the 6km race for men (UAE Nationals), Mubarak Al-Murashda won first place, followed by Khalid Khalil and Saad Al-Zaabi in third.

In the 6km race for women (UAE Nationals), Noura Al-Khallaf secured the top spot. Kalthoum Al-Mazmi finished second, and Marwa Al-Amoudi settled for third place. In the 6km race for men (the professionals’ category), Taha Judito won first place, followed by Noman Al-Issawy and Cintoni Danilo in third place. In the 6 km race for women (professional category),

Imoshi Laghi topped the leaderboard, followed by Latifa Shatilawi and Kumar Adela in third place. In the U-17 race for the juniors’ category, Adel Jimi won first place. Yasir Eihan finished second, while Yasir Al-Yamahi came third. The volleyball and futsal competitions took place at the indoor pitches in Al Dhahra School for Basic and Secondary Education in Hatta.

The running competitions were arranged with the participation of racers from prominent teams in the UAE, such as Al-Bataeh, in addition to community teams like Jamal Al-Shaafar, Al-Waraqa, and Kharbash.

Several accompanying events were held for families and children on the sidelines of the championship, including sports activities and entertaining events.

The event was sponsored by Hatta Kayak (the strategic sponsor), Hatta Guest House, and Al Shaafar Investment. The championship, since its launch, has been attracting huge numbers of fans who enthusiastically come to the pitches to watch and support their favorite teams.

Hatta Ramadan Championship was organized with distinctive participation of the residents of Hatta and the neighboring areas, besides the participation of several teams from Oman, based on the great popularity acquired by the Championship throughout the last few years and the remarkable level of the competitions.
