Third edition of Fujairah Open Swimming Championship attracts 210 participants

The Fujairah Martial Arts Club has the most number of participants with 52 swimmers of various ages at the championship.

The third edition of the Fujairah Open Swimming Championship will take place on April 1.

To take place under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, the Fujairah Open Swimming Championship has attracted around 210 swimmers representing different clubs in the UAE and abroad.

The championship will take place at the Tennis & Country Club Fujairah.

Hania Reggi, general manager of Tennis & Country Club Fujairah, thanked Sheikh Ahmed Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi for sponsoring the swimming championship.

Hania emphasized that the tennis club's infrastructure meets the requirements to host a variety of tournaments.

Abdul Ghafoor Behroozian, Chairman of the Fujairah Tennis and Country Club, welcomed the participants and wished them success.

Talal Ali, the tournament director, said: "The one-day championship for male and female players will witness competition in categories for ages (7-8), (9-10), (11-12), (13-14), and 15 years and general.

The Fujairah Martial Arts Club has the most participants with 52 swimmers of various ages, followed by the All Star Academy team with 30 swimmers and the Al Wasl Club with 20 swimmers.

It is a significant event for participants, especially since it comes ahead of the winter championship, which will be organized by the UAE Swimming Federation.
