Third edition of Masters International RC Championship kicks off in Dubai

The third edition of the Dubai Masters International RC Championship (aircraft competition) kicked off on Friday, attracting participation from the best elite and professional pilots from across the world.

Held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, the three-day event began place at the Dubai Creek Park (Al Khor Park).

The championship, organized by the Emirates Aerosports Federation (EAF), is being held with the support of the Dubai Sports Council and in cooperation with governmental and federal institutions, including the Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Dubai Television, Roads and Transport Authority, and Dubai Ambulance.

To ensure the safety of the participants, Mohammed Yousuf Abdul Rahman, general secretary of the Emirates Aerosports Federation, Tareq Alsaadi, tournament director, and Abdulla Murad, head of the logistics support committee, along with Dubai police, Dubai Ambulance, and the Dubai Creek Park Administration, remained present and ensured all the arrangements remained in place.

Alsaadi said that the fans can follow the event live through Dubai Sports channels, who are ensuring a wider audience reach.

Pointing out that everyone is mindful of the trust that Sheikh Hamdan placed in them, and as a result, Alsaadi said the organizing committee did its best to ensure the success of the championship, and they are working as one team to make sure to reflect the sporting face of the country in a positive manner.

Alsaadi said following the completion of two days of the event, the five best pilots will be selected, who will compete with each other to choose the best pilot for the Dubai Masters 2023 edition.

"Tamer Al Shamsi, Abdullah Al Rayes, and Jassim Al Ketbi are the three pilots who will represent the UAE at the competition. They are well prepared and have great chances at the championship," Alsaadi added.
