Fitness Challenge Championship attracts 148 athletes from across the world

The UAE Storm Games, a Fitness Challenge Championship, will get underway on Saturday.

The championship organized by the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation has attracted the participation of 148 athletes, including male, female Emiratis, and players from outside the country.

The event offers a prize purse of Dhs200,000 and will take place at the Tennis & Country Club Fujairah.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, confirmed that the tournament is part of the federation's plan to spread the game and support the athletes by holding regular local tournaments with wide participation throughout the season.

Ahmed Bin Dhabui, head of the organizing committee for the tournament, said: "We are ready to host the tournament and look forward to welcoming the athletes for an exciting competition for fitness."

Janjak Abdullah Al-Kiswani, technical coordinator of the tournament.

He also thanked the organizing committee for putting things in order, which paved the way for hosting the Fitness Challenge Championship.

Dhabui also thanked Tennis & Country Club Fujairah and the sponsors of the event.

Dhabui stated that the tournament includes five categories, including the professional men’s and women’s teams.

"Amateur category for men and women. We look forward to a strong start in technical and physical performance and competitions to produce distinguished results," he added.

Janjak Abdullah Al-Kiswani, the technical coordinator of the tournament, revealed the participation of international players in the professional category from across the world.

"Such events demonstrate Fujairah’s abilities in hosting top-notch events. This reflects the vision of wise leadership in making the Emirate the leading destination for major global and international sporting events," said Kiswani.
