The celebrations for the victorious Argentina team would have almost seen a shocking ending. During the victory parade on the open-top bus, Messi and his teammates including Leandro Paredes and Angel Di Maria suddenly came across an overhead cable.

They were forced to duck to avoid hitting the cable at the eleventh hour. A video shows the timely move. If they had hit the overhead cable, they could have been knocked off their perch, leading to serious injuries.

Four of the players ducked swiftly to avoid the collision, but Paredes only just got his head underneath in time and lost his cap, according to a report in a section of the British media.
