UAE-based athletes star as IFBB President Santonja praises the organizing committee

International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) President Dr. Rafael Santonja hailed the organizing committee of the Mr and Mrs World Championships for the technical and organizational excellence in hosting the event in Fujairah.
The IFBB Mr and Mrs. World Championships are taking place under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
Dr. Santonja rated Fujairah as a world-class city for hosting bodybuilding events.
"Fujairah is a premier bodybuilding sports city and has previously hosted about 20 competitions, one of which was the 2019 World Bodybuilding Championships.
"I extend my sincere thanks to the organizing committee and all those who were involved in ensuring the perfect arrangements for this global event," added Dr. Santonja.
Meanwhile, UAE players secured outstanding results during the championships, with Ahmed Al Naqeeb winning gold in the classic physique contest for athletes under 172cm.
UAE-based Krishna Surya clinched gold in the 75 kg category. Abdul Wahab won the under 75 kg division.
Sheikh Ahmed Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi crowned the winners in the presence of Engineer Mohammed Bin Majed, Director-General of the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah and Chairman of the Organising Committee, Dr Santonja and Khalil Maarouf, head of the championships.
