With two back-to-back international championships, the stage set for Beach Games Festival

Top on the list of the Beach Games Festival is the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, which will be organized by Dubai Sports Council for the 11th successive year in collaboration with the FIFA’s Beach Soccer Committee.

The Dubai Sports Council has completed preparations for the launch of the “Beach Games Festival”, the first of its kind, which is scheduled to take place from Thursday to November 6 at the Kite Beach in Umm Suqeim.

The Beach Games Festival comprises two international championships, to be held with participation of the strongest teams and national teams in the world, in addition to several other beach events and competitions.

Top on the list of the Beach Games Festival is the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, which will be organized by Dubai Sports Council for the 11th successive year in collaboration with the FIFA’s Beach Soccer Committee.

Other eminent events, to be arranged as part of this Festival, are the World Beach Volleyball Pro Tour and the Badminton Championship besides other distinctive beach events taking place at the sub-pitches, which are accompanying the main stadium of the Championship.

Construction works have been completed in the main stadium accommodating 3000 seats, sub-pitches accommodating 200 seats, dressing rooms, referees’ room, besides rooms of the delegates of FIFA and International Volleyball Federation, training pitches and the Fans’ Village.

The Festival will commence on Thursday with the yoga and badminton events.

The media tour for the Beach Volleyball Championship will be held Friday including a press conference to present the most eminent teams participating in the Championship.

Brazilian volleyball legend Gilberto Amauray D Godoy Philo, who is known as (Jiba) will grace the occasion.

The World Beach Volleyball Pro Tour will take place in the Emirate of Dubai from Saturday to Sunday, October 30 with participation of 192 male and female players representing 96 teams from 25 States from the various continents of the world who will play 266 matches.

The championship will be organized by the International Volleyball Federation with the support of Dubai Sports Council and in collaboration with the Emirates Volleyball Association.

The 11th Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup is scheduled from November 1-6 at the Kite Beach in Umm Suqeim with participation of the best eight national teams in the world.

Four matches are scheduled on the first day of the Championship (1st Nov. 2022) as follows: USA will play Japan at 4pm, UAE will take on Spain at 5:15 pm, Saudi Arabia face Brazil at 6:45pm while Paraguay will take on Iran at 8 pm.
