A new GCC golf initiative has been launched. The Race to Georgia, powered by Reza Hygiene, is a season long tournament involving the golf clubs and golfers of the GCC,

The Race To Georgia is an exciting unique series of Amateur Golf qualifying events to be held at golf clubs across the GCC in the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, culminating with category winners playing in the Regional Final to be held at the Montgomerie Golf Club in Dubai on Feb.25, 2023.

The two winners from the regional final will each win a one-week all-inclusive trip to Georgia in the US, to play in the Race to Georgia World Final at a local Georgia course, competing against amateur golfers from the US and Europe, and the opportunity to attend the 2023 Masters as Patrons.

The Masters is one of the most exciting tournaments in golf, held at the stunning and iconic Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA, where patrons watch the world’s best golfers battle to win the coveted Green Jacket. Getting the opportunity to attend The Masters and the hallowed beauty of Augusta National Golf Club, is every golfer’s dream.

Each Club qualifying event will be an 18-hole individual Stableford with the following tournament conditions: Men’s Handicap limit 24, Women’s Handicap limit 36, and 75% of Handicap (EGF Handicap).

The top two players from the Club qualifying events will go through to the Regional Final at the Montgomerie Golf Club on the 25th February 2023, a unique themed event that includes a prize giving dinner and raffle with exciting prizes and memorabilia.

Keith Watson, Tournament Organiser and Division Manager, Reza Hygiene, said at the launch, “We are excited to be able to announce the Race to Georgia, culminating in a World Final during The Masters week.

“We started this initiative in Bahrain in 2019, and in March of this year held a highly successful limited club event in Dubai. It seems the natural next step is to enlarge the tournament to include clubs in Saudi Arabia, the UAE as well as Bahrain. We encourage all golf clubs and golfers to support these events. We are hoping it will continue to be a huge success as well as having a unique prize and experience for the two winners. It is an ideal platform for Reza Hygiene to gets its brand and products out there in the GCC market. We look forward to a new addition to the GCC golf scene.”
