The Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation has achieved a remarkable international achievement by obtaining three positions in the Asian Bodybuilding Federation and the Asian Fitness Federation, respectively, during the General Assembly meeting that concluded in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday.
Ahmed Johar became a member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Bodybuilding Federation, while Ahmed Bin Dhubawi Al Falasi was made a member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Fitness Federation.
International referee Faisal Al Ghais Al Zaabi received the position of Secretary General of the Referees Committee of the Asian Bodybuilding Federation at the conclusion of the Asian General Assembly meeting held on the sidelines of the Asian Bodybuilding Championship, which took place in Kyrgyzstan.
The Asian General Assembly was attended by Dr Rafael Santonja, International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness; Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation; and Dr Adel Fahim, First Vice President of the International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (IFBB), President of the Arab and African Bodybuilding Federations, and President of the Egypt Bodybuilding Federation.
Coinciding with the qualitative improvement in UAE sports, the Emirates Federation for Bodybuilding and Fitness prominently affirms its position in international sports.
At the IFBB Asian Championships 2022, held along with the General Assembly meeting, the UAE athletes’ won 34 medals, including 12 gold.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed his gratitude to the General Authority for Sports after Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation officials gained positions in the Asian Bodybuilding Federation and the Asian Fitness Federation.
He also wished the UAE athletes success in their future endeavors and emphasized the desire of the Emirates Bodybuilding Federation to collaborate with the Asian and International Federations and the Arab Federation in order to advance the development of the sport.
The month-long 30x30 Dubai Fitness Challenge will also kick off this week, on Oct.29, with various activities taking place around the Emirate - in schools, beaches and parks, in different communities, and community and fitness centres.
The Dubai fitness Challenge, the flagship fitness initiative launched by Sheikh Hamdan, is gearing up to motivate everyone to renew their commitment to a fitter future with the launch of its 6th edition, running from Oct.29 to Nov.27, 2022.
