The Inaugural Dubai Padel Cup, a month-long padel fiesta comprising high-profile exhibition matches with the world’s top ranked professionals and multi-format competitions for the general public, burst into a sea of black, green, red and white today as the event kick started celebrations to mark UAE Flag Day, taking place on Wednesday.

With gigantic UAE flags held aloft by some of the world’s leading players ahead of their opening exhibition matches, hundreds of fans joined in the patriotic fervour by brandishing hand-held flags from spectator grandstands aligning the purpose-built court at Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai.

“The Dubai Padel Cup is a homegrown event rooted in the can do will do attitude of the Emirates, so we are proud to celebrate UAE Flag Day at our wonderful venue in the heart of the city,” said Ahmed Hamada, Co-Founder of the Dubai Padel Cup, which is part of this year’s Dubai Fitness Challenge.

Officially inaugurated on Monday by Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Association, the inaugural Dubai Padel Cup has attracted a high-quality roster of marquee partners including Dubai Fitness Challenge 2021, Emirates NBD, WHOOP, Al Tayer Motors, Valiant Clinic and Hospital, Okadoc, Barakat, Red Bull, Fade Fit, and WaterWA.
