Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy honours graduates at UAE University

The UAE University witnesses an exceptional honoring ceremony of the first ever outstanding and remarkable female graduates of the Physical Education Department.

This formidable honoring ceremony was hosted and organized by the generous Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy.

On this significant basis, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two parties regarding cooperation, exchange of scientific and practical experiences, as well as contribution to raising awareness of the importance of health and physical education for one of the first times in the history of UAE.

This indispensable and mutual memorandum was possible as the two parties desire developing cooperation and strengthening existing strategic partnerships between them in order to support women’s sports and specifically Emirati women’s sports.

This impressive memorandum will lead to superb results impacting the UAE collective, all in accordance with the policy and strategy of the two parties, as well as the achievement of their future aspirations.

The unprecedented batch of masterful female students were successfully awarded their well-deserved degrees by Amal Al Afifi, board member of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, as well as Doctor Najwa Al Hosani, Vice Dean of the College of Education on the behalf of the UAE University.

The first pioneering students that have graduated with honors achieving excellency in the Physical Education Department are: Munira Jalal Ahmad Ali Al Raeesi, Mouza Mohamed Rashif Al Nafakh Al Habsi, Kholoud Hussein Mohamad Hassan Al Ali and Amal Khamees Mohamad Ali Al Abdouli.

The distinguished Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy is always determined to provide the finest results, under the generous support of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood & Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.

Turning sports into an indispensable element in the daily life of Emirati women of all ages, backgrounds and physical condition is what the Academy strives to achieve. The latter is in hopes of encouraging outstanding Emirati women to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle, but also promoting sportsmanship values to the public of UAE.

For the first times in the history of Emirati women sports, and through the partnership of UAE University with Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, the aim is to grant a maximum of advantages from these various leading initiatives that will be of benefit to the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy and its affiliates.

In this regard, Amal Al Afifi has expressed her prime satisfaction with the top and foremost graduates saying: “The Academy has organised and coordinated with the UAE University in order to develop training programs for the excellent students that are enrolled in the Physical Education Department, according to specific conditions, as we see fit.

“We have also invited the prime students to join established programmes and to attend educational and community events related to the Physical Education field. We have also worked towards inviting and attracting extraordinary students from the United Arab Emirates citizens, that are ambitious and determined to continue their educational journey and to reach advanced levels in science. In this specific regard, we have intensified our cooperative efforts with the University Staff Team, that has satisfied all needs and requirements necessary for the success of the project. They have also successfully provided fitted scientific laboratories, classrooms and sports facilities that are important for the educational process. In addition, I would like to thank them on the behalf of the Academy for all their past efforts and what they have done over the last period.”

Dr Najwa Al Hosani also stated with appreciation to the first outstanding batch of the Physical Education Department: “Today we are proud of honoring qualified female students that are fully equipped scientifically and practically in order to start their superlative career journey in educational institutions and in sports & training centers.

"We would also like to express our generous thanks to the unlimited support provided to us by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, which had an immense positive impact in encouraging outstanding Emirati women to continue to excel and succeed, as it serves our beloved UAE,” she said.
