Indian Premier League set to welcome back fans as tourney resumes on Sept.19 in UAE

In a groundbreaking move, Indian Premier League is all set to welcome back fans to the stadium for the remaining matches in the UAE, it was tweeted by the IPL on Wednesday.

Mumbai Indians and Super Kings will get the ball rolling as the suspended IPL resumes at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sept.19.

Matches will be played across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. The fans will be allowed in a limited capacity, as the Covid protocols will be followed as per the guidelines of the UAE government.

The tickets for the IPL matches can be booked on the official website of the tournament www.iplt20.com. or purchased on PlatinumList.net.

The 2021 season of the IPL was suspended half-way due to an unprecedented spike in India, which forced the country of one billion plus going into lockdown earlier this year.

The 2019 edition of the tournament was held in the UAE. But all the matches were played played behind closed doors in empty stadiums.

UAE has become a sought after sporting destination for hosting the world class sporting events since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The UAE have a proven record successfully staging the world class sporting event during the pandemic.
