Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and Ayesha Mukherjee divorced after eight years of marriage, his wife confirmed on her Instagram account.
Melbourne-based Ayesha Mukherjee confirmed the news on an Instagram post on Tuesday that she has now been divorced twice.
The two married in 2012 and have a son Zorava. Ayesha Mukherjee is from Melbourne, Australia, and used to be an amateur boxer.
Dhawan is currently in the UAE with Delhi Capital (DC) team of Indian Premier League (IPL) , which was suspended in May this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For many years, Dhawan has been a key player in India, especially in the limited time format.
The left-hander made his ODI debut in 2010 and in 2013, played his first Test for India, scoring a century on debut against Australia. His T20I debut came in 2011.
Dhawan has played 145 ODIs, 68 T20Is and 34 Tests for India.
