The One-Day International (ODI) between England and Pakistan on July 10 was approved on Friday for a full capacity crowd at the historic cricket ground Lord’s.

Meanwhile, the England and Wales Cricket Board on Saturday announced a 16-member squad for the ODI series against Pakistan. The ODI series will begin next week at Cardiff.

The historic Lord's cricket ground was permitted to host fans last month for England's Test against Kiwis, beginning at 25 per cent capacity. The cricket fans must show proof of either full vaccination or a negative PCR test before entering the stadium.

Ticket-holders can also be admitted with proof of immunity — from a positive test in the past six months though not in the previous 10 days.

The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), which owns Lord's, said it confirmed receiving government permission for full capacity at the home of cricket.

The coronavirus restrictions will be disapplied to Lord’s during this match, in addition to being at full capacity, but risk-mitigation steps will still be in place including hand sanitisation and face coverings worn when moving around the ground, the MCC said.

To have England men’s first one day match at the home of cricket in almost two years and in front of crowd, will be truly memorable, the MCC chief executive Guy Lavender said.
