PCB gets nod to hold remaining PSL matches in UAE: Reports

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has received a green signal from the UAE authorities for holding the remaining matches of the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League, it was reported by Pakistani media on Monday.

Representatives of the PCB are on visit to the UAE to negotiate with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) authorities to get the competition resumed soon.

ECB has not issued any statement as of now from their side. However, it is not clear yet whether the matches will be played in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, it was reported by the sources close to the PCB.

The sources claimed that all the palyers will undergo a mandatory PCR test with in next two days. Once the reports comes negative, they will have to submit their passports to complete the traveling formalities.

The UAE authorities have made it mandatory for all players and officials to undergo a 10-day quarantine after arriving in the country.

However, it is still not clear where the matches will be held – Dubai, Sharjah or Abu Dhabi. The decision about the venue will be taken later.

The sixth edition of the PSL was postponed in early March after a couple of players and support staff tested positive for the coronavirus.
