Qalandars’ icon player and Pakistani legend Shahid Afridi, dropped the hint for continuing playing cricket for another two years after their victory against Team Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Afridi, who is always one of the biggest star attractions in any tournament, took 2-16 to help Qalandars set up a nine-wicket win over Team Abu Dhabi in their Abu Dhabi T10 match.

“I am still enjoying my cricket and I am passionate about it. The fans wants to see me playing,” said Afridi.

“Because of my fans, I love to play and I may continue to play for next one or two more seasons,” added the veteran Pakistani all-rounder.

After relinquishing the international cricket, the swashbuckling Pakistani batsman has been entertaining the fans across the globe with his firebrand cricket.

After restricting Team Abu Dhabi to 100/5, Qalandars romped to victory for the loss of one wicket with 10 balls to spare. Afridi was the leading wicket-taker with the two scalps. He also shed light on the secret of staying fit even at this age.

“If you want to play cricket, you have to be 100 per cent fit and sharp. Cricket is full of skills, so you have to be very skillful.

“I am trying my best not to disappoint my fans. T10 is full of entertainment,” added Afridi.

“Quarantine was not bad. I was missing my cricket too. I kept myself busy by doing stretching and some exercise in my room during the isolation to keep myself fit,” revealed the right-handed batsman.

Sharjeel Khan smacked an unbeaten 21-ball 40 while Tom Banton scored quick-fire 30 off 14 deliveries as Qalandars romped to victory for the loss of just one wicket.
