Masfout Trial Run proves big hit as 300 contestants competed in the event

Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) recently hosted Masfout Trial Run at Masfout mountains.

Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, graced the occasion.

 

Sheikh Humaid directed to host more activities in the Masfout area.

 

Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department, showed his support by participating in the race, which was a great motivation and inspiration to all the participants.

 

The race witnessed a participation of more than 300 contestants and was organised by Al Qudra Sports Management, with the support of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, the General Directorate of Civil Defence Ajman, and Amina Hospital Ajman.

 

Masfout Trial Run is the first sporting activity in the Ajman calendar of events for the year 2021, and it was held as a part of the community races launched to reinforce Ajman’s position as a prominent sports and tourist destination, locally and internationally.

 

Anouar El Ghouz won the first place in the open category- men, Khalifa Al Nuaimi in the Emirati- men category, Mouza Al Ghafli in Emirati- women, and Latefa Essarokh in the open category-women.

 

The race was successfully hosted, keeping every precautionary and safety measure in place including obtaining negative COVID-19 test results prior to participating, temperature checks for all participants, wearing masks and gloves during the race, and ensuring social distancing.
