Calvert-Lewin scores double as Everton beat Fulham, West Ham win

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a brace followed by midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure’s third before the half-time to help Everton end their three-match losing streak in the Premier League with a 3-2 victory over Fulham at the at Craven Cottage Stadium in London on Sunday.

In another match of the day, Haller’s solo second-half goal handed West Ham a narrow 1-0 win over Sheffield United to extend their wait for the first win of the season. Haller ended goal drought by breaking the deadlock in the 56th minute with his first goal since September.

Calvert-Lewin, who has scored 10 goals this season, maintained his momentum to put Carlo Ancelotti’s side ahead in just 42 seconds.

Bobby Decordova-Reid equalised for Fulham within 15 minutes, but Everton’s in-form striker maintained his momentum and netted again in the 29th minute.

Doucoure headed in a cross from Lucas Digne for his first goal for Everton to put them 3-1 ahead in the 35th.

Everton was leading 3-1 before the half-time. A late 70th minute goal by Ruben Loftus-Cheek reduced the deficit in the second half, but visitors held on to win for the first time in five league games after losses to Southampton, Newcastle and Manchester United.

Everton, who got off to a flying start to the season with four straight wins, are at the sixth place after a three-game losing streak, which dented their bid to finish in the top four.
