Naveen Rao smashed 123 and Ahsan Kaleem took four wickets as Emirates Engineering Green thrashed Pakistan Consulate team by 163 runs in a Rashid Alleem Premier League match held at the Al Dhaid Cricket Ground in Sharjah on Tuesday.

Emirates Engineering Green won the toss and elected to bat first. Though they lost the first wicket at 27 but it failed to stall the momentum as Rao and Rahul Chhatwani hit Pakistan Consulate bowlers all over the ground. Rao and Chhatwani shared a 182-run stand. Rao completed his century in 59 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and seven sixes. Chhatwani scored 70 off 39 balls including nine boundaries and one six.

Later, skipper Nadeem Bhatti added 15 while Kaleem hit 16 as Emirates Engineering Green registered massive 256 for the loss of four wickets from the allotted 20 overs.

Riding on Kaleem’s sensational spell in which he blew away the top order, Emirates Engineering Green restricted Pakistan Consulate to 93.

Geco Blue trample Apparel Group by 113 runs. Batting first, Geco Blue were off to dream start. Bharatt Jethhwa and Waqas Tariq shared 124-run stand to lay down a solid foundation.

Jethwa scored (57) and Tariq smashed 61 off 27 balls including 10 boundaries and one six.

Next batsmen Abubakar Siddique hit unbeaten 59 and skipper Syed Muhammad Danish added 36 to help Geco Blue post huge 241 for the loss of four wickets.

With tidy performance from their bowlers, Geco Blue restricted Apparel Group to 128.

Gulf International cruised to a seven wickets win over Rak Hospital.

With the help of Adnan Obaidullah’s three wickets Gulf International first restricted Rak Hospital to 123 and in reply chased down the target in 13.4 overs.

Buta Singh Gehri (50) and Mujahid Sohnay Khan (39) were their top scorers.

In another match, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank beat Dnata by seven wickets.
