Muhammad Farooq claimed four wickets as Scan B trounced Emircom by nine wickets in a Rashid Alleem Premier League (RPL) match held at the Al Dhaid Cricket Ground in Sharjah on Monday.

Emircom won the toss and elected to bat first. The decision boomeranged as they lost their wickets at the regular intervals and were all out for 94 runs in 15.3 overs.

Farooq took four wickets from his spell of four overs while giving away just 14 runs.

Shah Hussain scored 34 and Muhammad Umar Shafqaat hit unbeaten 21 to help Scan B achieve the target in 10 overs. Farooq was named as man of the match.

Dnata defeated Gulf O Flex by 114 runs. Krishna Chandran smashed unbeaten 110 off 48 balls and Usman Mushtaq remained not out on 74 as Dnata posted massive 236 from the loss of two wickets.

Later, they restricted Gulf O Flex to 122. Nisar Khan took three wickets while Iftikhar and Iqbal shared two each.

In another match, Intermass Engineering and Contracting Company beat Moalajah Ajman by 16 runs in a thriller played at the Skyline Ground 1.

Moalajah Ajman (RPL) won the toss and elected to field first. Intermass Engineering and Contracting Company. Skipper Navneet Kotiyal and Ibrahim Shabadi scored 39 each to give Intermass Engineering and Contracting Company a perfect start.

Later, Shihab Abdu (18) and Biju Thomas (19) helped them to reach 164.    

Moalajah Ajman suffered early blows. Avinash Bhoi (37) waged a lone battle as wickets tumbled at the other end and Moalajah Ajman fell short of 16 runs.
