Oliver dominates Beat the Track competition

Al Forsan International Sports Resort hosted ‘Beat the Track’ competition in Abu Dhabi.

Hundreds of drivers participated in the event which was held from Nov.15th to Dec.27 at Al Forsan International Karting Circuit.

Nearly 425 drivers, most of whom are professionals, took part in the race with 24 contestants qualifying to the final round. German driver Bouzni Oliver won the first place finishing the 21-lap race in 1 minute, 13 seconds.

Emirati contestant Abdullah Ali came in second place with 1 minute and 14 seconds per lap, while South African driver Greed Pederson took the third place with 1 minute, 14 seconds and 4 parts per second.

Tareq Abdul Raheem Al Hosani, Chief Executive Officer of Tawazun Economic Council and Vice Chairman of Al Forsan Holding, handed out the medals to the winners.

The final round of the Al Forsan “Beat The Track” race saw heated competitions among the contestants who showed great levels of skill and sportsmanship throughout the championship.

Khalifa Al Hemeiri, CEO of Al Forsan Holding, said that Al Forsan International Karting Circuit at Al Forsan International Sports Resort meets the highest international standards, making it qualified for hosting this type of race and other international racing competitions.

He also said that Al Forsan Resort is continuously working on upgrading and promoting the circuit locally and internationally.

Hemeiri said that Al Forsan ‘Beat The Track’ race was a successful experience by all standards, pointing out that the resort will organie other local, regional and international championships in the future.

“Al Forsan International Sports Resort is keen to develop the sports movement in Abu Dhabi in particular and the UAE in general,” he added.

Al Forsan International Sports Resort is one of the largest sporting and leisure clubs in Abu Dhabi, with world-class facilities offering a wide range of activities and Olympic sports.

Few days ago, Al Forsan International Sports Resort hosted the inaugural National Day Shooting Championship. The tournament saw 18 teams representing eight entities and institutions from the UAE, with eight women’s teams from seven government entities, and ten men’s teams representing eight government entities were battling it out for the title.

In the final day of the men’s competition, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (B) team took the lead with 407 points, followed by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (A) team with 399 points.

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department team came third with 389 points.
