With the summer transfer window drawing to an close, Al Dhafra completed their foreign signings by roping in Moroccan player Issam Eladoua even as other clubs in the UAE are busy revamping their squads with new recruits for new challenges this season.

The other foreigners to feature in Al Dhafra’s squad are Mikhail Rosheuvel, Diego Jardel, Amran Al Jassasi and Joao Pedro.

Al Dhafra also off-loaded quite a few players to balance their spending. Yaser Al Junaibi, Nicolás Milesi, Amine Attouchi, Diego, Deportivo Toluca, Ibraheem Alawi and Hasan Al Hammadi are players who have been either sold or given on loan to other clubs.

Meanwhile, Bani Yas revamped their squad by signing Leroy George for one year from the Australian team Melbourne Victory.

The Dutch player was chosen as the best player in the Azeri League twice as well as he was chosen as the best player in the Australian League last season, where he lifted the trophy with his team.

They also roped in midfielder Salim Ali Al Hammadi for two years from rivals Al Jazira.

The midfielder had been with the capital club for four years. He represented Al Jazira in six AFC Champions League matches, five AGL matches, four Etisalat Cup matches and one Club World Cup (CWC) match in the 2017-18.

Earlier, Al Nasr signed defender Mohammed Ayed on a three-year contract to bolster their defence and rev up their title charge.

The 27-year-old centre-back comes from Al Jazira, which he joined in 2017. He made only five appearances for Al Jazira in the AGL and played four matches at Etisalat Cup and three games at Club World Cup (CWC), that was held in the UAE.
