The Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel’s annual summer camp includes a wide range of sporting, educational and team building activities.

One of the biggest children’s summer camps in the UAE will be hosted by the Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel (AFOCH) this year, running from July 1 to Agu.1.

AFOC’s summer camp started in 2005 and has been a roaring success with children in Abu Dhabi for over 14 years.

The programme is designed to aid in their development with workshops for life skills combined with arts and sporting activities played in teams.

Open to children aged five to 13 years, the camp is also designed to make use of all the sporting facilities of the venue including including basketball, volleyball, football, gymnastics, Zumba, water polo, bowling, swimming, shooting and martial arts.

Additionally, the participants will be encouraged to develop their creativity and expression in arts and handicraft workshops while exploring important social and life skills in teamwork, recycling and health and safety activities.

Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel is home to an exceptional range of recreation and leisure facilities that children can explore during the Summer Camp, including an indoor Olympic swimming pool, a bowling centre, a martial arts stadium, football pitches and a range of sports halls.

The summer camp, which will run daily from next month till Aug.1 from 9am to 1pm, is an initiative by Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel to give children a chance to engage with their peers, live a healthy and active lifestyle over the summer holidays.

Meanwhile, Dubai Sports City (DSC) has announced that it will host the world-class multi-sport camp this summer, to cater for an overwhelming demand from parents for their children to participate in various sports activities during the school holidays. This year’s Summer Camp will be open to those aged between 3-11+ years old.

Throughout the summer holidays, Dubai Sports City and its academies, will offer participating youngsters the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of popular sports under the guidance of qualified and expert coaches in their chosen sport.

The activities on offer include: Spanish Soccer School, Dubai Eagles (Rugby), ICC Academy (Cricket), and the CF Tennis Academy.

The sports programme has been developed with a premium sports offering at its core, from the best facilities to inspiring coaches that have trained champions and all in the surrounding of the vibrant Sports Village.
