Mohammed Bin Salman's trip comes ahead of next month's visit to the region by US President Joe Biden, who is expected to meet Arab leaders in Saudi Arabia after a visit to Israel, with the Ukraine conflict and regional security on the agenda.
In a joint statement following the talks between Prince Mohammed and Erdogan, the two countries said they discussed improving relations and investment in sectors from energy to defence among others.
Prince Mohammed conferred Gen Bajwa with the King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellent Class for his "distinguished efforts in consolidating and strengthening bonds of friendship and joint cooperation and developing Saudi-Pakistani relations."
