The Traffic Department of the Sharjah Police General Directorate has launched a traffic campaign entitled “Leave a Safe Distance” that will last for a month from now. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness and protect the lives of road users from traffic accidents, which result from not leaving a safe distance between vehicles. Such campaigns successfully fulfil the vision of Sharjah Police, which is in line with the Ministry of Interior’s strategic objective of making the roads safer.
The Anti-Narcotics Department of the Sharjah Police General Directorate have achieved positive outcome in the first quarter of 2019, as part of its awareness-raising work plan which aims to raise awareness of the dangers of drug and substance use by school and university students, athletes of sports clubs, and employees of government sectors.
The device will be deployed in the residential areas in the city of Sharjah, the eastern and central areas in the emirate, to reduce disturbance in the neighbourhood.
