An electronics engineer from Gaza, Loay Elbasyouni, had worked with the Nasa team that made history this month by launching an experimental helicopter from the surface of Mars.

Sheikh Hamdan shared a video on his Instagram account showing Sheikh Mohammed in cycling gears making a stop on a cycling track to follow the Hazzaa’s lift-off. Sheikh Hamdan captioned the video,
"Seeing someone like Al Mansoori go up there makes me feel that he carries a part of my dream with him. Its hard to put this feeling into words so maybe by creating this picture of him is my way of thanking him for it. I’m proud of what he has accomplished," said Alapide.

A crowd in Dubai erupted in cheers and applause on Wednesday as the first astronaut from the UAE launched towards the International Space Station (ISS), dubbing him a national hero.
"We are days away from the UAE Hope probe's highly-anticipated launch to Mars that will inspire the young generation to make the impossible, possible," said Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid while addressing the 21-member Emirati Hope Probe team.
The Hope Probe will make a 7-month-long journey to the red planet covering 493,500,000km, according to Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).
Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, said in a statement distributed by the Cairo-based pan Arab organisation on the occasion of the UAE launch of the "Hope Probe" that this project is also a revival of an Arab history full of achievements in various sciences.
"Being the first Arab state to embark on Mars mission demonstrates the UAE’s significant progress in space technology. On behalf of the Chinese Government, I would like to warmly congratulate the UAE on the successful launch of the Hope Mars Orbiter, and wish the Hope Mars Mission a complete success," said Ni Jian, the Chinese Ambassador to the UAE.
