Ten illegal immigrants died on Wednesday and 30 were injured when the driver of a packed minibus refused an order to stop and crashed into a shop in northwest Turkey, local officials and media said.
Iraq’s prime minister says security forces have detained a man suspected of detonating a bomb on a minibus packed with passengers outside the holy city of Karbala.
Brigadier General Mohammad Abdullah Al Zaabi, Director of the Civil Defense Department in Ras Al Khaimah, said that the operation room received a report about a minibus that caught fire in downtown city near the ship roundabout.
The crash at a railroad crossing in Ergene, Tekirdag province, involved a minibus carrying factory workers and a train headed to nearby Cerkezkoy at 8am local time (0500 GMT), the news agency said.
According to the report the van, carrying 16 passengers, caught fire following the explosion, killing five people at the spot while five others succumbed to injuries in Gujranwala hospital.
