As per eligibility criteria, the candidate must be a Pakistani/Azad Kashmir national. While for Ph.D scholarships, candidates must have a minimum qualification of MS/MPhil/ME or equivalent (18 years) before the closing date.
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, directed to reduce the percentage of acceptance in scholarships from the grants section of Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas, in the University of Sharjah and the American University of Sharjah, for students who passed the secondary education certificate at a rate of 70%, instead of 85%.
His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved 788 scholarships from the Scholarships Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (Sewa), for undergraduate Emirati students at the University of Sharjah and the American University of Sharjah. These include 661 scholarships for the University of Sharjah and 127 scholarships for the American University of Sharjah.
The student, Hatem Nasr El-Din Shaaban excelled in the twelfth grade and obtained a total of 99.15 in the academic year 2020-2021, but his financial and social conditions prevented him from achieving his dream of studying medicine at a university in the UAE.
To benefit from this initiative, eligible applicants can submit their scholarship request along with supporting documents and the acceptance letter from their chosen University or College to Education@FrontlineHeroes.ae.

Sheikh Sultan’s immediate response followed a call from the student to the Direct Line programme broadcast live on Sharjah Radio and TV, in which she said that she had obtained admission from one of the most reputable global universities in Japan to study for a master’s degree in it.
